Bruce Bowers: A genuinely nice guy. Just reminds me to reach out to people I care about while I still can.

I have fond memories about Bruce Bowers. He WAS a genuinely good person. He was a finefriend while we were at Lincoln Southeast. I played basketball with Bruce. He patietly tried (with only limited success) to help me with chemistry. My sympathies and best thoughts go out to his family.

Bruce and I have been friends since 2nd grade at Eastridge Elamentry school. then junior high at Millard Lefler and at LSE. We kept in touch when jobs seperated us and last met with Bruce couple weeks before he passed.
He will always be a friend.

I too had the privilege of playing basketball with Bruce. My memories of Bruce include him being a soft-spoken, kind, and gentle young man. He wasn't the kind to seek his own glory or draw attention to himself. I admired him for those qualities. I'm thankful that God placed him in my life, even if for just a short time.
