I earned three degrees at UNL, a bachelors in English, an MBA and a masters in Cultural Anthropology with a concentration in Nebraska Folklore. For more than 20 years I've directed Nebraska Folklife , a 501c3 non-profit that functions as the state folklife program for Nebraska. We hold performances of traditional arts by Nebraska ethnic and other folk groups, create materials on Nebraska folk traditions for use in schools, and conduct research on Nebraska cultural traditions. We work closely with Humanities Nebraska and other partner organizations to do this work and are also funded by donations from the public and by grants from foundations and from the National Endowment for the Arts. My husband retired after 40+ years as Operations Manager of the City Campus Student Union at UNL Now we can spend more time traveling in our small RV with our two little dogs Abbie and Zeke. We also play folk music at venues around Lincoln and do programs around the state on American folk music for Humanities Nebraska.

One of my other hobbies is genealogy. I'd love to hear from other classmates who have traced their ancestors!
