Vicki Hergenrader Hollers

Gary and I were married August 15,1965 and our adventure began! We were stationed at Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota for 5 years where we began our lives together and were blessed with our two children. After learning how to survive at 40 below zero we received orders for Andersen AFB on the beautiful island of Guam and enjoyed life in the tropics during the Viet Nam Conflict. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets where "America's Day Begins"! Following our two short years on the island we were sent to Wurtsmith AFB, Oscoda, Michigan on beautiful Lake Huron for 5 years. Fishing was amazing along with playing golf, and so much more. We were then so surprised to get orders to go back to Guam!!! Our children were older now and we were able to explore the island as Gary's parents came for a visit while we were there. Gary, Tami and I were blessed to be baptised there in the Pacific Ocean by our good friend and Chaplain. It was there that God called us into the ministry. After two beautiful years we were stationed back in Michigan for 4 years as we prepared to leave the military and go to Bible College at Nebraska Christian College then in Norfolk NE. We enjoyed pastoring 5 churches the in last 35 years finishing with 15 years in Council Bluffs, IA. After selling our house in Council Bluffs, we moved back to Lincoln in August 2014 to be closer to family. So many changes in Lincoln ... so much bigger.
