Karen A. Garber (McCracken) was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. She died in Lincoln on January 8, 2002. She was 54 years old.

Karen graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School. At the time of her death, she worked as a secretary at Wiese Research Associates.

Survivors include her son Sean McCracken of Lincoln; daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Rex Baillie; daughter Madalene McCracken; mother Emma Garber; brother Marvin Garber, Jr.; and grandchildren Rachelle, Zachary and Rebecca. Her survivors all reside in Lincoln, NE.

Visitation was scheduled from noon to 8 pm on Friday, January 11, with family receiving friends from 5-7 pm. A memorial service was held at 2 pm on Saturday at Gates of Praise Church, 70^th & Vine Street. Memorials were established in Karen’s name.
