Youth Pastor 1973

-Backpacked down most southern trails in the Grand Canyon and in the Sierras, even made it to the top of Mt. Whitney where it was snowing in July!

-Lived for most of the year in Palestine/Israel working on a kibbutz

-Lived on the Cheyenne Indian Reservation as a youth worker near Lame Dear, Montana; and worked briefly on a large ranch as a cowboy in White Sulphur Springs, Montana

-Drafted in 1967, served as a conscientious objector in a mental hospital for emotionally disturbed youth in Trevose, Pennsylvania

Lived in Haight-Asbury for one month in February 1967; anybody remember Panhandle Park and the Print Mint on Haight? I used to sell the Berkeley Barb newspaper and The Other Magazine on the streets.

Started college, but then got side-tracked "on the road":-)

-Suppressed Desire Day, 1965! I painted surfboards on the side of my dad's car, but used the wrong kind of paint and we could never get rid of them.

Mr. Keene, teacher of history, philosophy, and debate. He, every day, would lean off angle against the blackboard on a stool. We kept thinking he was going to surely lose balance one day, but never did.
